چکیده
Abstract The aim of this study is to identify the active compounds essential oil extracted from Pinus densiflora (Sieb. et Zucc.) wood using hydrodistillation method and evaluate their anti-inflammatory activity. chemical composition was identified by GC–MS analysis, its activity assessed investigating effect on expression interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-13 (IL-13), ? -hexosaminidase in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RBL-2H3 cells. Treatment LPS-stimulated cells with fractions downregulated production pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-4 IL-13 further attenuated secretion out a significant level. Among five obtained fractions, fraction E exhibited best activity, main constituent, longifolene, considered compound. Moreover, inhibitory longifolene levels similar that P. oil, indicating constituent P . immunosuppressive effects inflammation.

Pinus densiflora Sieb. et Zucc. Alleviates Lipogenesis and Oxidative Stress during Oleic Acid-Induced Steatosis in HepG2 Cells
Excess accumulation of lipids and oxidative stress in the liver contribute to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). We hypothesized that Pinus densiflora Sieb. et Zucc. (PSZ) can protect against NAFLD by regulating lipid accumulation and oxidative stress in the liver. To investigate the effect of PSZ upon NAFLD, we used an established cellular model: HepG2 cells treated with oleic acid. The...

Although coarse woody debris (CWD) is important for soil functioning, the mechanism which affects soil properties beneath CWD are unclear. Here, initial changes in microbial and soil properties were studied using homogenous CWD samples in eight Korean red pine (Pinus densiflora Sieb. et Zucc.) forests. For each forest, CWD samples (diameter: 11.1 ± 0.1 cm; length: 10.2 ± 0.0 cm) from similarly ...

From the leaves of Alangium paltanifolium var. platanifolium, collected in Fukuoka Prefecture, twelve further megastigmane glycosides were isolated. Seven of them, named platanionosides D-J (1-7), were found to be new compounds. Their structures were elucidated from spectroscopic evidence and their absolute structures were determined from beta-D-glucosylation-induced shift trends of 13C-NMR and...

It was proved that the composition of the oils by conventional steam distillation extraction (SDE) process was much different from that obtained by supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) process using carbon dioxide. The oils from two processes extracted contain similar amounts of three major components such as αpinene, myrcene and terpinolene, however, the oils by SFE had higher amounts of fatty...

Zanthoxylum schinifolium Sieb. et Zucc. (Rutaceae), a dioecious shrub with hooked prickly branches, has been used as folk medicine for the treatment of the common cold, stomach ache, diarrhea, and jaundice in China, Korea, and Japan. In our phytochemical investigations on this genus, a new megastigmane sesquiterpenoid, which is referred to as schinifolenol A (1), was isolated from Z. schinifoli...
